Check a Facebook username for your profile or Page
Your Facebook username is the part after facebook.com/ in your profile or Page address. Facebook's rules: at least five characters, only letters, numbers and periods, and no domain endings such as .com and .net or country endings such as .de and .ca. This checker tests those rules and links to the facebook.com address so you can see whether it's already in use.
One rule surprises people: periods and capital letters don't make a username different. Facebook treats juanperez55, Juan.Perez55 and juan.perez.55 as the same name, so if one version is taken, moving a period won't help. Usernames also can't be generic words or impersonate someone else.
For a Page, only an admin can set the username, and Facebook may make you wait if you created many Pages recently. When the Page is ready, you can schedule its posts in Fuxux next to your other networks.

FAQ
How long does a Facebook username have to be?
At least five characters, using letters A–Z, numbers 0–9 and periods.
Can I put a period in my Facebook username?
Yes, but periods don't count: Facebook treats juan.perez55 and juanperez55 as the same username, and capital letters don't count either.
Why is a Facebook username unavailable when I can't find anyone using it?
It may belong to a profile or Page you can't see, or it may contain a generic word or a domain ending such as .com, which Facebook doesn't allow. Try a variation that adds a word, for example yourbrandhq or yourbrand.official.
Can a Facebook profile and a Page share a username?
No. A profile or Page can have only one username, and you can't claim a username that is already in use.
Who can change a Facebook Page's username?
Only a Page admin. Facebook may not let you create a username straight away if you created many Pages recently, and a Page's username can be removed if the Page is inactive.
