- A Threads post holds 500 characters and a styled letter usually takes two, so about 250 styled letters fit.
- Your Threads username is your Instagram username, so it only takes letters, numbers, periods and underscores. Styled text works in your bio and posts.
- Threads search does not read styled letters as the words they look like, so keep topics and keywords in plain text.
Threads fonts for your posts and bio
Threads has no font setting. The bold, italic and cursive text you see in posts and bios is made of look-alike Unicode characters, which is what this generator produces: type your text, pick one of the 19 styles, and paste it into Threads.
A styled letter usually takes two characters, so the limits fill up faster than they look. A Threads post holds 500 characters and a bio 150. Choose Post or Bio above and each style shows its real length against that limit.
Use styles for a word or a hook, not a whole post. Threads search does not match styled letters to the words they look like, and screen readers can read them out letter by letter.

How do I use a different font on Threads?
Type your text into the generator, copy a style, and paste it into a Threads post or your bio. Threads has no font option of its own, so styled text has to be pasted in.
