- Styled letters can use two characters each, so a bio that fits in plain text may not fit in bold. The count under each style tells you.
- Keep your name and keywords in plain text somewhere: Instagram search does not read styled letters as the words they look like.
- Screen readers may skip or misread styled text, so use it for accents, not whole captions.
Instagram fonts for your bio and captions, checked against the limit
Instagram has no font setting for bios or captions. The styled text you see on profiles is made of look-alike Unicode characters, which is what this generator produces: type your text, pick bold, cursive, gothic, circled or any of the 19 styles, and paste it into Instagram.
There is a catch most generators ignore. A styled letter can take two characters of Instagram's limit where a plain one takes one, so a bio that fits in normal text can be refused in bold. Choose Bio or Caption above and each style shows its real length against that limit: 150 characters for a bio, 2,200 for a caption.
Keep the words you want to be found for in plain text. Instagram search does not treat styled letters as the words they look like, so a name or keyword written entirely in a fancy font is harder to find.

FAQ
How do I change the font in my Instagram bio?
Type your bio text into the generator, choose a style, copy it, then paste it into the bio field in Instagram's Edit profile screen. Instagram has no font option of its own, so styled text has to be pasted in.
Why does Instagram say my bio is too long when it looks short?
Styled letters often count as two characters each toward the 150-character bio limit. Select Bio in the generator and each style shows how many characters it really uses.
Do Instagram fonts work in captions and comments?
Yes. Styled text pastes into captions, comments and direct messages the same way as into a bio. Captions are limited to 2,200 characters.
Will fancy fonts hurt my reach on Instagram?
They can make you harder to find. Search does not match styled letters to the plain words they resemble, and screen readers may skip them. Use them for accents and keep your name and keywords in normal letters.
Is the Instagram font generator free?
