Zapier setup
The Fuxux Zapier app authenticates with a personal API key — the same kind used by the API reference and the MCP server. No OAuth screen to click through.
1. Get an API key
Create one under API Keys in your Fuxux dashboard.
- Keys start with
fx_live_and don't expire until you revoke them. - The full secret is shown only once — copy it somewhere safe before closing the dialog.
- Requires the API add-on ($5/month on any paid plan). Without it the connection test fails the same way as a wrong key ("no longer valid"), so check Billing before creating a new key.
- Create a key just for Zapier. Rotating a key revokes the old one, so a key shared with another tool would disconnect your Zaps.
2. Add Fuxux to your Zapier account
Fuxux is in Zapier's app directory, so there is nothing to install or accept: search for "Fuxux" in the Zap editor, or start from the Fuxux page on Zapier.
Open Fuxux on Zapier3. Connect the app
When creating a Zap, search for "Fuxux", choose a trigger or action below, and paste your key into the connection form when prompted.
Triggers
New Published Post— fires when a post finishes publishing and at least one platform succeeded. A post that failed on some platforms also fires New Failed Post. Checked on Zapier's own polling schedule, not instantly.New Failed Post— fires when a post fails on at least one platform, including a partial failure where some platforms succeeded and one didn't. Check theis_partial_failureandfailed_platformsfields in the output.
Actions
Create Post— publish now, schedule for later, or save a draft to any of 14 platforms. Set a caption per platform, optional media URLs (required for Instagram), and optionally target one specific connected account. Reddit isn't available through Zapier: Reddit posts are created in the Fuxux web app.
Searches
Find Connected Account— look up a connected social account by platform. Also powers the account picker inside Create Post.
What's not instant
Both triggers poll rather than push — there's a short delay (typically a few minutes, depending on your Zapier plan) between a post publishing and the Zap firing. Create Post's own response carries the per-platform results for text and image posts. A video sent with "Publish now" is handed to the scheduler and goes out a couple of minutes later (publishing a video can take longer than Zapier waits for a step); its result arrives through the triggers.
Prefer to build it yourself?
Everything the Zapier app does is a thin wrapper over the public REST API — see the API reference for the same endpoints, or the MCP setup guide if you're wiring up an AI agent instead of a Zap.
