Schedule social media posts from Grok Build

Grok Build writes the code; Fuxux gets the news out. Add the Fuxux server and Grok can draft posts from your changes, save them as drafts, or schedule and publish them to 12 platforms.

Add the server with an API key

The key stays in an environment variable, not in the config file.

  1. 1

    Create a Fuxux API key

Connect your social accounts in Fuxux, then create a key on the API keys page. Keys come with the API add-on ($5/month on any paid plan).

  2. 2

Put the key in an environment variable

Grok fills in ${NAME} in headers when it loads the config.

    export FUXUX_API_KEY=fx_live_your_key_here
  3. 3

    Add the server

Keep the single quotes, so the variable name is saved and the key is read when Grok starts. Add --scope project to save it for one project only.

grok mcp add --transport http fuxux https://www.fuxux.com/api/mcp --header 'Authorization: Bearer ${FUXUX_API_KEY}'
  4. 4

    Check it

This checks the connection. Then ask Grok "list my connected accounts in Fuxux".

    grok mcp doctor fuxux

Or sign in with your Fuxux account

No key needed, so it also works on the Free plan.

  1. 1

    Add the server

Without a header, Grok opens a browser sign-in the first time it uses the server.

grok mcp add --transport http fuxux https://www.fuxux.com/api/mcp
  2. 2

Start Grok, run /mcps, select fuxux and press i. Fuxux opens in your browser: sign in and choose Allow access.

    /mcps

Things to ask Grok Build

  • “Read the commits since the last tag and draft a release post for LinkedIn and X. Save both as drafts in Fuxux.”
  • “What do I have scheduled in Fuxux this week, and did anything fail?”
  • “Schedule this announcement to Bluesky and Threads for tomorrow at 9 am my time.”
  • “Move Friday's LinkedIn post to Monday at 10 am.”

Grok Build FAQ

Does it work on the Fuxux Free plan?

Signing in works on every Fuxux plan, including Free. Your plan's limits apply as they do in the web app: the Free plan covers 3 connected accounts and 5 published posts a month, and posting to X needs a paid plan. The API key route needs a paid plan.

When do I need an API key?

An API key needs a paid Fuxux plan with the API add-on ($5/month). Keys start with fx_live_, are shown once, and work until you revoke them. Use one on machines without a browser, or if signing in does not complete.

Which tools does Grok get?

Eight: whoami, list connected accounts, dashboard, and list, get, create, update and delete posts. Creating a post can publish it now, schedule it, or save it as a draft.

Can Grok post without asking me?

It can publish, because publishing is one of the tools. If you want to approve everything first, tell it to "always save posts as drafts", then review and schedule them in your Fuxux calendar.

How do I remove its access?

In Fuxux, open Settings and find Connected apps. Removing an app there stops it straight away. An API key is revoked on the API keys page.

Is this an official xAI integration?

No. Fuxux isn't affiliated with xAI. Grok Build connects to any remote MCP server, and this page shows how to add the Fuxux one.
